Imagine savoring a dish that harmoniously blends the fragrant zest of local sansho pepper and the natural sweetness of fine Fuyu persimmons, all while enjoying the hearty texture of soy meat. Each bite is not just delightful but also a celebration of the flavors unique to Koyasan, making it a true taste of the region.

Your dining experience is further elevated with the café’s exquisite goma tofu, served with a luscious drizzle of sweet syrup and a dusting of kinako (roasted soybean flour). This dessert is the perfect way to conclude your meal, emitting a comforting warmth that complements the rich cultural tapestry surrounding you.

Delicious vegan curry set at a beautiful café! We came here as the vegan/vegetarian places we wanted to visit were closed, but what a lucky find! I enjoyed both the curry (which contained bits of soy "meat") and the goma tofu which was dipped on a sweet syrup. Now I usually do *not* enjoy sweet stuff but this was really nice. It's also possible to buy the packaged curry sauce and tofu separately at the café (as well as other shops at Koyasan town) which I did. At ¥1180 this set meal is cheaper than 2 other eateries I passed by offering vegetable curry rice. Try the mikan juice too - it's sweet ish with bitter under notes.

You can have lunch or some kind of light meals, including desserts. I ordered self-making Monaka and it was very delicious and fun to make Monaka put the smashed bean paste and ice cream The price is not as high as I thought.

A beautiful little cafe in Koya where we found a gluten free dish for our celiac son! He had the dessert plate and the staff were super friendly and helpful checking the list of ingredients. We also ordered the other two dishes, a rice soup and a curry, and they were absolutely delicious and wonderfully presented. The food was all made with such care and so pretty to look at. So glad we walked in here! It’s hard to find gluten free food in Koyasan, we were turned away from a couple of restaurants when we tried to enquire about allergies. 10/10 recommended!!

There is limited food selection with curry rice or茶漬け(chazuke). I ordered curry rice and macha latte. Japanese is always good at the food presentation plus the great atmosphere that I enjoyed so much.

Had lunch here. Limited menu items (we had one of each) but they were both delicious and filling with affordable pricing. Vegetarian if not vegan but you wouldn't think about it if you're not either (which we weren't). Hot drinks were nice so can assume the cold ones are too.

Tried the curry rice. The sauce is really nice, typical Japanese curry customized with spices. But the portion is small, only one piece of pumpkin and aubergine. The service is good, credit card accepted, and the environment is quiet and cozy.

One of the best lunches we had in Japan. We had the curry and hojicha latte, both were delicious!

Nice cafe with friendly service and soft chairs! I would recommend the local mandarin juice and the sweet with matcha ice cream and red bean paste
